Social Services and Case Management
During your stay, you will be assisted by staff from the Little Company
of Mary – San Pedro Hospital Case Management Department. Carol Cottle,
RN, and Elaine Montano, MA, will help identify community resources, to develop
an appropriate discharge plan and assist you in working with your insurance.
They also ensure that you understand the many details of your treatment plan
and that your graduation from our program to the next step in your rehabilitation
is as smooth as possible.
Psychology
Depending upon your specific needs, you may have the opportunity to work with
a clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist, intern or post doctoral fellow in
clinical psychology. Daniel Sherman, PhD, and other members of the Psychology
team are available to assist patients and families cope with the emotional impact
of disability and rehabilitation. They are also equipped to measure progress
and develop treatment programs to address the impact that an injury may have had
on memory, mathematical, language and other abilities.

array of staff to assist you during your recovery.
We have Registered Dieticians, Pharmacists, Radiology Technicians, Respiratory
Therapists, Housekeeping and Engineering Staff and a myriad of others working to
ensure your comfort, safety and satisfaction as a “customer” in our
program.
