Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Supervisor is Sydney Hanel, O.T.R. Under
Sydney’s leadership, you will find Occupational Therapists, Certified
Occupational Therapy Assistants, Activities Coordinator and Rehabilitation
Technicians. This group of professionals will work with you to increase your
abilities to do such things as bathing, dressing, self-care and a wide variety
of other “activities of daily living.” Our Occupational Therapy
Department also arranges community outings, cooking groups and other activities
designed to help increase social skills, reduce isolation, improve knowledge
and assist patients in their functional return to home and
the community.

Speech Therapy
Linda Gonzalez-Valle, M.A., SLP, is the Clinical Supervisor for the Speech
and Language Pathology Service. Linda and other Speech Therapists are dedicated
to helping with eating or swallowing difficulties as well as communication and
other cognitive (thinking) problems. Not all Rehabcentre patients require this
type of care, but it is an especially important part of the treatment program
for those patients who have had strokes, head trauma or other neurological
conditions.
